Greetings, friend!
I’m Caity, a Canadian based human, cat mom, and blogger. I thrive on slow mornings, oat milk lattes, and the thrill of the thrift.
Over 10 years ago I was diagnosed with a chronic illness that seriously impacted my quality of life. What started was a decade of pain, loneliness, isolation, and trying to get to the bottom of this misery. My first glimmer of hope a naturopathic doctor who first suggested cutting all chemicals and toxins out of my life. That led to eating organically as much as possible and eliminating every and all toxin from my household including cleaning products, and even my makeup/skincare.
This was game-changing for me. And so I started out on my toxin-free lifestyle. But I can’t leave things alone and so I began doing more research on common toxin and their impact. This opened up the door to sustainable living for me. Not only were these chemicals bad for my health but also the health of the planet. Then I learned about plastic pollution, and carbon emissions, and ethical fashion, and veganism, and so on and so on. All of these things and the impact they have no only on us but on our precious planet as well.
I started this blog to document my journey to a low waste and toxin-free lifestyle and share with others how they can do the same. This blog has quickly become a community of like-minded folks striving to do the same.
