I love shopping and supporting ethical fashion brands. But as a Canadian, those duties and exchange rates can really get you some times. I’ve rounded up some of the most fantastic Canadian ethical fashion brands.

Canadian Ethical Fashion Brands
1. Kotn
Kotn is an ethical brand based in Toronto. They are a certified B Corp and make their clothing using ethically and sustainably sourced Egyptian cotton. They work directly with 2,390 smallholder farmers in the Nile Delta and Faiyum regions. Their pieces are timeless and made to last.
2. Frank & Oak
Frank and Oak is based in Montreal and is one of Canada’s leading lifestyle brands. They’re B Corp certified and a leader in sustainable fashion. They use innovative natural materials that are kinder on you and the planet.
3. Encircled
Encircled is located in Toronto and its factories are located just 20 minutes from its head office ensuring that its workers are treated and paid fairly. They are also a certified B Corp proving they put people and the planet first. With clothing that prioritizes style over trends and materials made to last you can be sure never go out of style.
4. Tentree
Based in Vancouver, Tentree is a certified B corp that plants 10 trees with every order! They use materials like Tencel, recycled polyester, organic cotton and hemp. Their clothing is designed in Canada and ethically manufactured across the world.
5. Kindly the Label
Based in Manitoba, this slow fashion brand creates timeless pieces made to last and made for comfort. Their clothing is designed in Canada and ethically made using materials like linen and cotton.
6. Free Label
Free Label creates “Elevated basics” that are 100% made in Canada. Their factories are just 10 minutes from their head office in Vancouver. They only use sustainable and natural materials and create sizes XS-4X.

8. Good for Sunday
This Toronto brand partners with a family-owned factory that mills, cuts, sews and dyes all their garments. They use organic cotton, tencel, bamboo and organic linen to ake their conscious clothing!
9. Franc
“Made for people who are fed up with last fashion” this brand is a certified B Corp based in Ontario. Their factory partners are located just outside of Toronto and this is where their clothing is made.
10. Harly Jae
Dubbed a “slow fashion house” this brand based in Vancouver designs clothes to follow you on your intentional journey. They use linen, hemp and organic in their clothing because it’s gentler on you and our planet.
