Traditional cleaning supplies are not only harmful to us to breathe in but are also incredibly harmful to the planet. Packaging aside, the ingredients in these products can cause serious harm to Mother Earth. These chemicals wash down our drains and toilets and end up in our water systems where they pollute our water and cause damage to wildlife.
It’s important for yourself, your children, your pets, and the planet to choose eco-friendly cleaning brands that are safe and clean for all of you.
But it’s not as easy as going to the supermarket and grabbing a green container of cleaner. In fact, most brands that you’ll find at the grocery store that claim to be “green” or “clean” are a classic case of greenwashing.
Read more about greenwashing here.
Brands love to make their product container green, adding plants and flowers to the packaging and using words like “green” “natural” “organic” and so on. But there are actually no laws in the USA that prohibit brands from making these claims without any proof. Any company can say what they want to get you to buy their product.
So I’ve taken all the guesswork out for you! These are brands that are safe for you and the environment. I’ve tried each and every brand and as someone who had to cut chemicals out of her life for the sake of her health, I can say these are trustworthy brands. And they work.
