How to be more Confident

Confidence is something I believe takes time. If you’re born with it, you’re seriously lucky. But I find that it can be hard to be confident when the world sees a confident woman as conceded. Bleh. I say screw it. Own it. Be confident in the face of those who disapprove.

Here are just a few tricks you can do to start gaining more confidence and showing it off.

1. Quit comparing.
I put this as number one because I think it’s the most important…and also the hardest thing to do. But I truly believe that comparison is one of the main killers of joy. It starts off as a critique and can silently snowball into literally hating everything about ourselves. Admire others. Their accomplishments, they’re looks, but leave it there. Just because someone else is pretty doesn’t mean you’re not.

2. Pamper yourself.
Get a makeover, get your hair done, do your nails. Whatever makes you feel bad ass and beautiful. It’s ok to indulge and treat yourself. Sometimes confidence has to start on the outside and that’s perfectly ok. If you feel you look good, you’ll start to believe it.

3. Carry yourself with importance.
What I mean by this is walk the walk. Talk the talk. Dress the part. There’s a quote that goes “dress for the job you want, not the job you have”. And I think the same is true in life. Dress like someone whose confidence, carry yourself like it. Like I said in the point above, sometimes you gotta fake it till you make it. Eventually you’ll start to believe it and it’ll come naturally.

And that’s my list. I hope you found it helpful, if you did make sure to share it with your friends!
