Here are my 6 favorite ways to style a silk scarf:
Before we get started I thought I’d show you the simple folding method that will go with most of these looks. It’s super simple! All you need to do is lay your scarf out flat, fold it in half like a triangle and roll it up!
1.On a bag –
This is probably the simplest way to style your new silk scarf but also the easiest! It’s a simple, feminine way to dress up any bag and make it look instantly beachy and chic!
2. Like a head band/wrap –
Since headband are also in it only makes sense to use your scarf as one! Simply fold your scarf in half and roll it up!
Then place it at the base of your neck and cross it over on top of your head.
Next, cross the ends over again to create a ‘loop’ or ‘knot’ design on the top.
Then simply secure underneath your hair.
And Voila! You’ve turned your silk scarf into a beautiful headband!
3. Around your neck –
One of the most likely ways you’ll see people styling a silk scarf in the warmer weather is around their neck. And if you get the right kind of light, breathable material you won’t even notice it in the heat! You can style this a few different ways but I’ll show you two of my favorites!
To start off both of these styles, fold the scarf in half like a triangle and fold it up like above.
For style number one, place the middle of your scarf around your neck.
With the two loose ends, simply tie them in a knot. I like to double knot it so they don’t come undone.
For the second way to tie a neck scarf, fold your scarf the usual way but instead of rolling it up completely, leave a little triangle out of the fold.
Then place it on your neck like the first style.
Double knot the loose ends again but this time, you want to tuck the ends back into the folds around your neck to give a bandanna or handkerchief vibe.
4. Around your bun –
These last two are pretty easy but oh so fun to wear so I had to include them!
Throw your hair up into a bun as usual, roll up your scarf and wrap it around your bun making sure to knot it so it’s secure!
5. Half up – half down –
I’m sure you know how to do this already! It’s exactly like the above style except instead of a bun, it’s a half up pony that you’ll wrapping the scarf around!
And there you have it! Six incredibly cute and easy ways to style a silk scarf!
