Linen is one of my favourite sustainable materials. Made from the flax plant, linen is strong and absorbent making it perfect for warm and cooler weather.
Linen is also a natural material, as it comes from a plant, it’s easily biodegradable at the end of its life. It also takes less water to grow than cotton and actively removes CO2 from the air. On top of all the wonderful sustainable aspects of linen, it’s also one of the most comfortable materials. But don’t take it from me, people have been wearing it for centuries from ancient Egypt to Mesopotamia!
