It can be easy to find a clean, toxin-free brand. But finding brands that are also eco-friendly and conscious of their packaging is another story.
But you’re in luck because I did the hard work for you! I’ve found 9 amazing brands that are not only mindful of their ingredients but also of their packaging and waste.

A staple and a true pioneer in the world of zero waste cosmetics. This woman created brand focuses on self-love for both yourself and for the planet.
They’re cruelty-free, organic, have safe and fair labor practices, their ingredients are sustainably harvested and their packaging is made from bamboo and recycled materials. They also offer refills for a lot of their products.
Their product range includes everything you’d need for a full face of makeup including, foundation, brow balm, mascara, blushes and pressed eyeshadows!
2. ilia cosmetics – $$-$$$
ilia’s products are certified organic and cruelty-free. And their packaging is made from recycled aluminum!
They carry everything from eyeshadow palettes, eyeliners, eyeshadows, primers, and so much more!
3. Alima Pure – $$
Alima Pure is a brand for the books. They’re 100% carbon neutral and have been for 10 years. They’re apart of 1% for the planet which gives back 1% of their annual gross revenue to environmental organizations and they’re certified B-corp.
They also offer refills for their compact products s you don’t have to purchase new packaging each time you run out!
4. Dirty Hippie Cosmetics – $-$$
With everything from mineral brow powders and eyeshadows to highlighters, bronzers, and blushes and so much more, dirty hippie cosmetics if definitely one of my favorite!
Made with all safe and natural ingredients, dirty hippie cosmetics products come in reusable containers like glass or tins and in paper tubes as well which makes them almost a completely zero-waste makeup brand!
5. Dab Herb Makeup – $-$$
Vegan, organic and completely plant-based, dab herb makeup uses glass and tins for their cosmetics and offers refills on a number of products.
They have everything including lip tints, bronzer powders, foundations, and eyeshadows.
6. Bee You organics – $$
From mascara, BB creams, lip balms, and lip tints, Bee You organics also carries a skincare line.

There is no shortage of places to find zero waste makeup. Making the switch to a low waste beauty routine can take some time as a lot of the products are packaged in ways we’re not used to. Such as cake mascaras and potted lip products.
But once you have a zero waste makeup regime down you won’t be disappointed. It’s a very liberating way to do your makeup every day knowing you’re taking care of yourself and the planet.
