With the summer weather arriving, lots of outdoor activities are sure to ensure. With the fast-paced on the go nature of the season, we tend to do a lot of things for convenience. But usually, convenience comes with a hefty environmental footprint.
One of my favourite summer activities is going on a picnic! I just think they’re such a fun way to get out and enjoy the weather and you can do them anywhere!
Instead of packing single-use plastics for your picnic, try these reusables instead!

Zero Waste Picnic:
1. Reusable containers
Instead of plastic wraps and single-use plastic bags and opt for reusable instead. Try options like reusable Stasher bags, metal tiffins, or glass jars.
2. Reusable napkins
Ditch the disposable napkins and make sure to pack your reusable cloth napkins! They look much prettier anyway.
3. Reusable cutlery
Why waste money to create waste when we all have perfectly good cutlery sitting in our drawers? It only makes logical sense to just use what we already own! But if you’re wanting a set of reusable cutlery conveniently packaged for on the go, I love this one.
4. Reusable cups
When we want to do a full spread we bring fancy cups! These handcrafted wine cups make the perfect vessel for water, juice, pop, kombucha or anything else you can think of!
5. Reusable bottle
Whatever drink you’re drinking, bring it in a reusable bottle rather than plastic water bottles, juice bottles, cans, etc.
Wherever your adventures take you this summer, go sustainably and leave no waste behind!
